Accessibility Statement
Effective date: October 25, 2026
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Sent to Serve believes everyone should be able to find a place to serve and a way to give. That includes people with disabilities. We want senttoserve.com (the "Site") to be easy to use for everyone, and we're working on it.
Our goal
Our standard: we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
Where we are: we don't claim that the Site conforms to WCAG or any other standard. Parts of the Site may not yet fully meet it.
How we check: before launch and after major changes, we run an automated accessibility scan (WAVE or axe) and test the Site using only a keyboard. These checks don't find every problem, so please tell us about anything that gets in your way.
What we're doing
As we build and redesign the Site, we're:
adding text descriptions (alt text) to meaningful images;
using clear headings and a logical page order;
checking color contrast for text and buttons, aiming for at least 4.5:1 for body text;
using readable text sizes;
making buttons and links large enough to tap on phones;
labeling form fields, and showing clear error messages;
working to make pages, forms and pop-ups usable with a keyboard and screen readers.
Known limitations
Checkout: donation checkout happens on Stripe's payment page, which Stripe maintains.
The map: the interactive map of listings is visual. The same listings are available in text form on the Volunteer, Missions and Fundraisers list pages.
Our platform: the Site is built on Wix. Some built-in parts, such as the login and password-reset pop-ups, are provided by Wix, and we can't change all of them.
Content posted by others: organizations and members post their own photos and descriptions, and some of them may not include alt text.
Need help or found a problem?
If you have trouble using any part of the Site, please tell us. We'll try to fix it, and to help you in another way in the meantime. For example, we can email you a listing's details or an organization's contact information, so you can apply or ask about other ways to give.
Email: Senttoserve.help@gmail.com, with the subject "Accessibility"
Please include: the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser or assistive technology you were using.
